LAHORE – A resolution has been presented in the Punjab Assembly to the effect of obtaining written statement from all civil servants in the jurisdiction of federal and the provincial government that they did not hold dual nationality.
The resolution jointly moved by MPAs Nawabzada Sayed Shams Haider, Col (r) Shuja Khanzada and Humaira Awais Shahid also seeks a vote in the House on giving time to those who want to the renounce their foreign nationality. If they failed to do so within the stipulated time, they should be disqualified, the resolution added.
