LAHORE – Syed Javed Shah took charge as FIA Punjab Director on Friday after Waqar Haider was sent on forced leave after the Supreme Court showed resentment on his posting.
Shah widely known as an upright officer in FIA and social circles joined FIA in 1992 as assistant director. He served in Lahore in FIA CBC Circle and Immigration Incharge and Crime Circle, FIA Multan. Then he was promoted to Deputy Director in the year 2002 and served as D/D Headquarter, Incharge Crime circle, ATU and State Bank Circle.
In March he was promoted as Additional Director, Corporate Crime Circle and after that on Friday he was asked to perform as Director FIA Punjab Lahore on acting charge basis. An officer of the FIA said that this order would stand till further orders. On Friday after taking charge of his office he addressed to the FIA officers in his office and asked them to work as team work and leave no stone unturned for the betterment of agency.
