Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Sheikh Azmat Saeed has warned the IG Punjab Haji Habibur Rehman to comply with the court’s directives otherwise he would be served show cause notice.

During hearing of a case here in Lahore on Wednesday, Sheikh Azmat Saeed expressed dissatisfaction over the police and other government institutions for not implementing the court decisions and said despite passage of one year, LHC decision regarding promotion of a sub-inspector to DSP rank has not been implemented.
He remarked that the court decision is not a general statement and the state departments were bound to comply with the court’s directives.
IG Punjab, Haji Habibur Rehman apologized to the LHC for delay in following the court decision and said he can’t even think of violating court orders. He assured to make efforts to implement the court decisions after which the case was disposed off.
