LAHORE – Speakers at a conference paid rich tributes to Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi, calling for following in his foot steps to curb blasphemy.
Addressing 22nd annual Imam Ahmad Raza Barelvi conference organized by Kanzul Iman Society on Monday, they said that his (Imam Barelvi) thoughts should be adhered to protect honour of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Khadim Hussain Rizvi chaired the conference addressed by Shah Anas Noorani, Qari Zawar Bahadur, Naeem Tahir Rizvi, Khalil Noori, Nawaz Bashir Jalali, Amanat Rasool and Nawaz Kharal.
Anas Noorani said Imam Barelvi was the founder of two nation theory and his thoughts must be adhered to counter the blasphemers.
Qari Zawar Bahadur said Muslim rulers must shun the slavery of US and take the course of self respect. He said Muslim world needed a personality like Imam Ahmad Raza to counter the intellectual onslaught of the west.
Naeem Tahir said Imam Ahmad Raza played a decisive role in checking the tendencies of infidelity and waywardness.
The resolutions at the conference demanded complete boycott of the US till the handing over the movie makers to Muslim ummah. Other resolutions demanded global legislations for preventing blasphemies, release of Mumtaz Qadri, and arresting the killers of Dr Sarfraz Naeemi.
