LAHORE – Punjab Chief Secretary Nasir Mehmood Khosa on Saturday presided over district coordination officers (DCOs) conference at Civil Secretariat.
Secretaries of the concerned departments also attended the meeting. Main agenda of the sitting was to pond over issues relating to measles, dengue, sugar cane payments to the growers, flour prices and availability of wheat etc. Sources privy to the development said that all the DCOs presented reports about the issues under question. The coordination officers earlier had been advised to prepare and present reports to the CS and ensure payments to the cane farmers from the sugar mills. The CS advised them to resolve the public issues at their earliest. Khosa further said that negligence on the parts of the officers would not be tolerated. The CS had conducted a meeting of divisional commissioners a couple of weeks ago.
