Police use baton charge, arrest protesting doctors in Lahore

Police used baton charge against the protesting doctors of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) and arrested several of them.

The YDA continued its hunger strike Sunday on the seventh consecutive day here for their demands.
The YDA had announced that they would disrupt the inauguration ceremony of Metro Bus Service on Sunday unless the Punjab government fulfills its demands.
They said that the Punjab government would be responsible if any unwanted incident happened if they were stopped to participate in the ceremony.
The YDA said it would end its ongoing hunger strike only after provincial government's assurance that it will accept their demands.
Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz has strongly condemned the crack down of police on young doctors camp in Lahore.
