Swiss authorities declined to re-open cases against President Zardari: Naek

Law Minister‚ Farooq H. Naek has said that Swiss authorities have declined to re-open cases against President Asif Ali Zardari in Money laundering cases.

In a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari‚ the Law Minister briefed him regarding the contents of the reply sent by Swiss Authorities.
The Law Minister said that the reply from the Swiss Government is testimony of the stance of Pakistani Government which it took before the court.
Farooq Naek also discuss political situation of the country with the President.
Meanwhile‚ former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in a statement said his decision to not write letter to the Swiss Authorities to re-open case against President was right.
His spokesman in a statement said that the former prime minister had decided not to write letter to Swiss Authorities under the constitution and international law. He said his stance has proved that President enjoyed complete immunity according to law and constitution and reply of Swiss Authorities in this regard has proved his stance.
On the other hand Minister for Environment Samina Khalid Ghurki hosted a lunch in honor of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Lahore Sunday.
