LAHORE – Mistrust over water issue can result in a major conflict between two atomic powers, India and Pakistan, warned Dr Danish Mustafa, an eminent geologist from Kings College London.
Addressing a conference at GCU Wednesday, Dr Danish said the biggest issue of water security in Indus Basin was that India had never provided accurate water figures . The GCU Political Science Department and United Nation University, HEC and Associated Group jointly organised the conference on “Water Resources Governance in the Indus Basin”. Around 17 foreign experts from eight countries are participating in it.
