The provincial government, according to estimated distribution of resources, added a handsome amount of over Rs 38 billion in the amount allocated for the fiscal year 2011-12 which was Rs 148 billion while out of total increased allocated amount, about half of such amount would be spent for clearance of salaries of subordinates departments of Punjab Local Government Department.
Further the government allocated maximum amount of Rs 13 billion as compared to the other districts of province for all new and ongoing development projects in the City.
The government enhanced about Rs 2 billion for the fiscal year of 2012-13 in the total amount of over Rs 11 billion, allocated by the government for the previous fiscal year for the provincial metropolis while maximum amount of Rs 3.1 billion has been enhanced in the allocated budget for the development of Faisalabad which secured second position in getting maximum development funds in the current budget which are over Rs 12 billion.
As per details of allocated amounts for the development projects of the other 35 districts of the province in the annual budget 2012-13, the government allocated over Rs 4 billions for Attock with an enhancing amount of Rs 923 million as compared to the previous years amount of over Rs 3 billion, for Bahawalnagr, government allocated Rs 6.3 billion by enhancing over Rs 922 million while for Bahawalpur, government allocated over Rs 5.9 billion with a notable increase of over Rs 1.3 billion, for Bhakkar, allocated amount is over Rs 3.5 billion, for Chakwal Rs 3.9 billion, for Chiniot over Rs 2.1 billion, for DG Khan over Rs 4.7 billion, for Faisalabad over Rs 12 billion with an enhance of about Rs 3.1 billion while government allocated about 9.4 billion in the last years budget, for Gujranwala, Rs 7.5 billion with an enhanced amount of Rs 1.4 billion, for Gujrat Rs 5.2 billion with enhanced amount of Rs 1.2 billion, for Hafizabad over Rs 2.2 billion, Jhang, Rs 5.1 billion, Jhelum Rs 3.1 billion with an enhanced amount of Rs 768 million, Kasur Rs 5 billion with an enhanced amount of Rs 1 billion allocated by the government for the city, Khanewal Rs 5.5 billion with an enhanced amount of Rs 1.1 billion, Khushab Rs 2.9 billion, Lahore 13.3 billion, Layyah Rs 3.8 billion with an increased amount of Rs 855 million, Lodhran Rs 2.6 billion, Mandi Bahauddin Rs 3 billion, Mianwali Rs 3.6 billion with an increased amount of Rs 807 millions, Multan Rs 6.8 billion with an increased amount of Rs 1.4 billion, Muzaffargarh Rs 5.5 billion, Nankana Sahib Rs 2.8 billion, Narowal Rs 4 billion with an increased amount of Rs 935 million, Okara Rs 5.2 billion, Pakpattan Rs 2.7 billion, Rahim Yar Khan Rs 7 billion adding Rs 1.5 billions in the share of the allocated amount of previous years budget, Rajanpur Rs 2.8 billion, Rawalpindi Rs 8 billion with an increased amount of over Rs 1.6 billion, Sahiwal Rs 5.1 billion with an increased amount of Rs 1.1 billion, Sargodha Rs 7.9 billion with an increased amount of over Rs 1.8 billion in the share of previous years budget, Sheikhupura Rs 5 billion, Sialkot Rs 6.5 billion with an increased amount of over Rs 1.1 billion in the shared amount of previous years budget, Toba Tek Singh Rs 4.5 billion with an increased amount of Rs 880 million and Vehari over Rs 5.1 billion with an increased amount of Rs 1 billion.
