The Punjab government has proposed allocation of Rs5.04 billion for carrying out projects under Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2012-13. Development outlay in the outgoing fiscal year was Rs 3.4 billion. The Punjab Government will spend Rs 2 billion on subsidy for 20000 tractors to be provided through balloting under Green Tractor Scheme for Agricultural Youth. The Punjab Government had executed a similar scheme for farmers about a couple of years back. The government provided green tractors to farmers at subsidised price through balloting at tehsil level. Now this scheme will facilitate agricultural youth.
