Class struggle pushing country towards revolt: JI

LAHORE – Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch has said that the class struggle caused by the feudal and capitalist economic system was pushing the country towards civil disobedience and revolt.
Addressing traders and notables from NA 126, he said that a vast majority of the people were deprived of their basics rights of water, education, health facilities and security of life and property. The prices of electricity, POL ad gas were sky high and around 42 per cent of the people were living below poverty line. But the federal and the provincial governments had no vision or plan to steer the country out of the mess nor they had a team for the purpose, Liaquat Baloch said.
He said during the last 64 years, the JI had carried out intensive research in governance and prepared a team of honest and dedicated people who had the skill to carry out public welfare projects.
If the masses supported the JI, it would break the begging bowl and lead the country towards self reliance, building it a model state. He said that the aim of the JI’s economic policy was to end collective injustice, tyranny and exploitation, and make the masses shareholders in national wealth.
Later, he led a mass prayer at the Masjid-e-Shohada for the army personnel trapped at Siachen. Speaking on the occasion, he said the whole nation was praying for the safety of the Army jawans and had full sympathies with their families.
