LAHORE – The director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had banned the entry of all outsiders in the agency’s office situated at Regal Chowk though it was a public dealing department and people from remote areas visited it on a daily basis, visitors gathered outside the FIA Office said on Friday. These people told this scribe that they reached the FIA Office early morning in connection with their cases, but were left at the mercy of four policemen deployed on the main gate who were only allowing specific people to enter the office.
A senior citizen seeking anonymity said he had come from Chungi Amar Sindhu and was fasting, but FIA officers had forced him to wait outside the office in scorching heat. He said he had come to launch a complaint against Wapda officials who were demanding bribe from him to facilitate him in getting electricity connection.
This scribe was also not allowed to enter the office despite possessing an entry pass issued by an additional director of the FIA.
