LAHORE – In connection with ongoing drive against illegally constructed factories, a team of the City District Government on Friday sealed four steel mills and three tires’ warehouses on account of polluting the environment as well.
The CDGL team, under the supervision of Deputy District Officer Environment Muhammad Younas, raided four steel mills in Mominpura area and sealed them for not installing the air pollution controlling devices in their steel mills.
Meanwhile the squad also sealed the three tyre warehouses at Bund Road.
The staff of Bahadur Steel Mill showed resistance to the CDGL squad and later thrashed them and pelted stones on them. Later, the squad with the help of police sealed the factory and dispersed the mill staff with help of Ariel firing.
The sealed steel mills included Malik Bhadur Steel Mill, Waris Steel Mill, Noor Steel Mill, and Moaeez Steel Mill.
