LAHORE – Spokesman of Excise and Taxation on Sunday said that the department has distributed more than Rs17 million among its 200 officers who showed good performance.

He said that E&T has so far achieved 65 percent property tax target set by Punjab government in Region-A including more than 20 circles.
A ceremony in this regard was organised at the DG E&T office which was attended by Minister Excise and Taxation Punjab, Mian Mujtabur Rehman, Secretary Excise, Zahid Husain, DG E&T, Hamayun Mazhar Saeed, Directors, Akram Asharf Gondal and Massodul Haq and others.
The spokesman said that those who were conferred on awards included four Excise and Taxation Officers (ETOs), 9 AETOS, 60 Inspectors, 60 Clerks and 60 constables. Speaking on the occasion Minister Excise, appreciated the performance of the Excise officers and staff saying that Punjab government would announce more incentive if the E&T officers showed good performance in collection of tax. He said that the present amount distributed among the officers and staff was also part of the incentive scheme announced by Punjab government.
