PPP to take care of Christians

LAHORE - National Assembly Public Accounts Committee Chairman Nadeem Afzal Chan Sunday said the PPP would extend all possible assistance to the affectees of Badami Bagh incident.

Talking to APP, he said President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf took serious note of the incident and directed the authorities to take care of the affected Christians and efforts be made on war footing for their early rehabilitation.
Chan said the PPP was a party of the poor and would not allow anyone to play with their destiny.
He said the PPP would continue to safeguard the interests of the poor. He said the PPP condemned the ransacking the property of the Christians and demanded the Punjab government to take immediate steps to check such incidents in future.
Chan assured the Christian community that life and property of all minorities would be protected at all cost as they were also equally loyal citizens of Pakistan like others.
