LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has said that the government’s yielding to the Supreme Court’s directive for writing to the Swiss authorities in the NRO case is a welcome sign but the nation has tremendously suffered on this count for which the rulers must apologise.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, he said that the government persistent refusal to write the letter for months had lowered the country’s image in the world, while at home the problems of the masses kept on increasing and the national economy was deteriorated. The government must apologise to the nation for all this, he stressed.
