Man clubbed to death by brothers


LAHORE – Two men clubbed to death their 55-year-old brother over a domestic dispute in the Ichhra area, police said on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Musa, a resident of Ehata Molchand, was attacked by his younger brothers Hanif and Saleem who traded barbs with him before that onslaught.
Police investigators said that Musa was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
Police booked Hanif and Saleem in the case. However, they are on the loose.
Roof collapse: Six people, including two minors, sustained serious injuries when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Nawan Kot police area, rescuers said.
The injured, named as Mazhar, 48, Razia Bibi, 35, Shaista, 25, Maham, 14, Maryum, and Alisha, were hospitalised. Rescuers said that rooftop of the dilapidated house situated on Bund Road near Shezan Factory, collapsed on Monday afternoon.
Banker killed: Unidentified motorcyclists shot dead a 35-year-old bank officer and wounded his assistant near Barkat Market in the Garden Town area, police said on Monday evening.
Syed Waqar, said to be a Manager at the Soneri Bank, along with his Assistant, Muhammad Tahir, was on his way home when unidentified motorcyclists intercepted his Cultus-car near the Barkat Market.
A police officer at the Garden Town police station said that the motorcyclists targeted the bank manager, opened fire at him and fled away instantly. Both the manager and his assistant sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to the Jinnah Hospital, where Waqar was pronounced as bought dead. However, the condition of Tahir was reported to be out of danger. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
Sources in the investigation police said that the possibility of robbery-cum-murder could not ruled out. According to them, the bandits opened fire on the car-riders on offering resistance during the road robbery.
Bike stolen: A motorcycle was stolen away from the Ichhra police area, police said on Monday.
