Lahore we came… Terminally-ill kids have wish true

LAHORE – The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) in collaboration with the Make-a-Wish Foundation on Friday flew terminally ill children to the provincial capital, making true their tour-of-Lahore wish.
On arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, the little visitors were received by PIA District Manager Umer Draz, Station Manager Manzur Junior and PR officials. Accompanied by Make-a-Wish Foundation Coordinator Uzma Hasan, the dying children Kamil, Adnan Saqib, Iqra and Fiza flew to Lahore from Karachi aboard PK-302. Adnan, who desires to be an airman, was decorated as pilot by the PIA DMD.
The children, first, visited the Lahore Zoo where famous Suzy elephant welcomed them by jutting up its trunk. Later, they went to Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore Fort, Badshahi Masjid, Mazar-e-Iqbal and Lahore Railway Station.
At the evening, they attended a faction at the Governor House organised by the Make-a-Wish Foundation for special children. Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf distributed gifts and prizes among the children. Punjab Governor Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood, Make-a-Wish Foundation founder Ishtiaq Baig and others attended the event.
