Arson accused remanded

LAHORE : An Anti-terrorism Court Judge Irfan Saeed on Monday granted four-day physical remand of 14 nominated accused involved in Joseph Colony attack. On Monday, Police produced accused including Khalil, Imran, Latif, Irfan, Sheikh Ubaid, Rashid Ahmed, Nazir, Nadeem, Riaz, Muhammad Afzal, Mian Saleem and Imran Baig before the court and sought their 14-day physical remand to carry out investigation.

However, the court has granted their 4-day physical remand directing police to produce them before the court again on March 14 along with investigation report till that date.
Meanwhile, the same court sent 21 accused involved in the same incident on judicial remand for their identification parade.
A case of arson attack was registered under Sections 324, 332, 427, 436, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code and 7-Anti-Terrorism Act on behalf of the state against 83 nominated and thousands of unidentified people.
