CM reviews progress of metro bus service project

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the City is being given new identity through metro bus service and modern transport facilities to the benefit of the people of all classes and age. The CM said Punjab government was committed to providing modern, fast and organised transport system to the masses, as well as resolving traffic and travelling problems through latest know-how. The CM said this while presiding over a meeting held to review the progress of the metro bus service project, here Thursday. Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Transport, DG LDA and representatives of concerned departments also attended the meeting. Shahbaz Sharif said that metro bus service is unique in the 64 years’ history of country for it will ensure speedy, comfortable, and economical transport to everyone, especially students, disabled, elders and women. 

The CM said besides launching of metro bus service, an intelligent transport system and a modern system to control traffic in the city will also be introduced.
