The DCO said no illegal activities should be allowed in the graveyard premises. He said protection of graves was the responsibility of district administration.
Also, Mengal took notice regarding the non-availability of drinking water in Fort Road, Shahi Muhallah. He directed the Wasa officers to make ensure the availability of drinking water to the residents without any interruption and submit report at DCO Office in this regard.
Meanwhile, Mengal said all arrangements were being given final shape to establish 25 Ramazan Bazaars in the City so that cheap and quality essential items could be readily provided to the citizens, whereas these Ramazan Bazaars would start functioning from July 15.
The DCO said that more than 200 Dastar Khawan would also be set up in various areas of the City with the cooperation of well-off people and traders while 616 fair price shops would be increased to 1,000 to provide flour and sugar on subsidized rates.
He said that special Iftar packets would be prepared and distributed among the citizens who would be on the road at Iftar timings and these packets will be distributed through traffic staff.
“No parking fee will be charged from citizens in Ramazan bazaars. Low quality vegetables and fruits and other items will not be allowed to sale in Ramazan Bazaars and proper tent age will be arranged keeping in view the monsoon season,” Mengal announced.
The DCO said stalls of beef, mutton and poultry would also be part of these bazaars and these stalls would be properly covered. He also told that manufacturers would also arrange their stalls in Ramazan Bazaars at factory rates.
