Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Thursday challenged the VIP culture through a writ petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC). The petitioner through his counsel AK Dogar stated that customs and traditions, which were legacy of the colonial period, needed to be declared as void under Article 8(1) and (2) of the Constitution of Pakistan. He said the VIP and VVIP status was ultra vires of the Constitution.
