Trauma life support course concludes

LAHORE – A three-day Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course concluded at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan Regional Center on Monday. Over 15 doctors participated in the course from within the country and abroad whereas 10 senior instructors demonstrated different exercises to save human life within the shortest possible time with the help of latest machines.
CPSP President Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry said that this course would be made compulsory for all trainee doctors in future and it would be useful in providing better facilities to the human being in emergency.
ATLS Director Prof Mahmood Ayyaz said that this course was aimed at to provide the best possible medical aid for saving lives in the shortest time. The CPSP conducts many courses directly linked with the relief of human beings.
CPSP Regional Director Prof Khalid Masood Gondal said that Pakistan was the first country amongst SAARC Region conducting the ATLS course in collaboration with American College of Surgeons (ACS). He further said that with the help of ATLS course it would be easier to provide medical aid to the accidental patients.
