LAHORE - Pakistan Awami Tehrik President Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbassi has said that in order to ensure 14-day scrutiny, the elections should be held on May 15.
Addressing a press conference, he said the government should call the session of Assembly and get the amended Representation of Peoples Act (ROPA) passed immediately and the President must sign it immediately. Government delegation and Federal Law Minister, Farooq H Naek had promised to conduct 14 days scrutiny when they visited the Minhaj Ul Quran Secretariat, he said and added, the ECP had been changing its stance on daily basis which had created doubts in the minds of the people.
