He was heading a delegation that called on JI Ameer Munawar Hasan at Mansoora on Wednesday.
Taskheeri said the number of US friends was coming down and Israel would soon be confined to its natural boundaries and would face a humiliating defeat in its plans against Islam. Iran would come up to the expectations of the Muslim world, he assured. He lauded the efforts of the founder of the JI Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maudoodi for the unity of the Ummah and his successors who had devoted their lives for the revival of Islam. He said that the thought and the writings of Syed Maudoodi could be adopted as an experiment for removing the misunderstandings between the Muslims. He also extended an invitation to the JI chief to visit Iran.
Munawar Hasan urged the US to respect international laws and give up its activities against Islam. He said that UN sanctions against Iran and US patronage to Israel showed double standards. He also called for creating a new bloc with Pakistan, Iran, China, Central Asian states and Afghanistan as its members to pave way for US’s ouster from the region and achieve common goals.
He said the anti-Islam forces all over the world had joined hands against Islam and the Muslims, and it was time that the Muslim world also forged unity in its ranks. He said acquisition of nuclear technology was the right of every country and no one should have monopoly over that. While condemning the attitude of the US and its allies against Iran, he said that Iran was being pushed to the wall. On the other hand, he said, Israel had been inflicting untold brutalities on the Palestinian Muslims but the so-called champions of international peace neither took notice of it nor any resolution was moved against these.
The US vetoed the world community resolution condemning Israel which proved that the US had gone blind in enmity towards Islam. He said that Washington wanted to establish India’s hegemony in the region. India, he said, did not have any boundary common with Afghanistan yet it was being given contracts for development projects over there. An agreement was being made allowing India to enter Afghanistan after Nato’s withdrawal from there in 2014. Strongly condemning the pact, he said Washington should better stop dreaming of India’s supremacy in the region.
