EDO pays tribute to nurses, paramedics

OKARA - Executive District Officer (Health) Dr Ashraf Javeed Chaudhry has said that the nursing profession has a unique position in the welfare of humanity.
The people related to the profession not only perform their responsibilities but also render their services in the best possible way for humanity. Therefore, nurses and other paramedical staff should honour the demands of this field, the EDO said.
As a chief guest in the ceremony in the Nursing School of Okara, he was expressing his views.
District Headquarters Hospital MS Dr Mohammad Aslam Quaim Khani, Nursing School Principal Nasim Munir Wirk, Gynecologist Dr Babra Shahid Dogar, DMS Dr Ghulam Hussain Alvi, Instructors Kaneez, Taslim Akhtar Niazi, Dr Tariq Hameed also addressed the ceremony.
The EDO said that along with nursing education, nurture is equally important, adding that with the behavioral changes, many problems could be curtailed. He said deficiency of doctors is now being fulfilled. He pledged that the provision of gas and generator in the nursing school will be ensured. Dr Khani addressed the ceremony, saying that the profession of nursing is a social service. A nurse provides a hope to the drowning patients, he said.
He also hoped that nurses would continue serving the department with devotion. Dr Babra said she had seen ceremonies during her medical and other colleges but this function of Nursing Doppatta Seraini was unique. In the function the students presented tableaus.
