LAHORE - A condolence reference was held at the Camp Office of IGP National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) on Friday to pay tributes to Mubshir Hussain Shah, Senior Petrol Officer who embraced martyrdom while fighting against criminals in the Motorway Service area in Bhera a couple of days ago.
The reference was presided over by IG-Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema. The father and son of the martyred officer was the chief guest of the ceremony. DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad, DIG Wasal Fakhar, SSP Mirza Faran Baig, SSP Ghulam Jaffer, SSP Nasir Sati, SP Ather Waheed, NH&MP officer and media representatives were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said that the martyrdom of cop lightens the light of society and also boosts the morale of nation. The blood of martyr cleans of all the stains and blame on the police department. Mubshir Shah was a brave officer and at the same time, he was a true professional,” said Cheema. Shah was an honest, hardworking, competent and professional police officer. He was among the most respected individuals of his time.
The IG also named Motorway Police Bhera Beat Camp after Mubshir Shah. He also presented a cheque of Rs 3 million to the father of Mubshir and awarded gallantry award to Shaheed s son Hamza.
