LAHO RE - The trials to select the players for PHF Hockey Academies in Karachi will be held at Hockey Club of Pakistan and UBL Sports Complex today (Thursday). The trials at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium Karachi for Academy no.2 will be held at 10am. The selection Committee of Sindh along with coaches of academy no.2 will observe the trials. The trials for Academy no.1 at UBL Sports Complex will be held at 2pm. The selection Committee of Sindh along coaches of academy no.1 Saleem Sherwani (PIA), Jan Muhammad (UBL) and Muhammad Ali (Custom) will observe the trials. Two days trials for PHF Hockey Academy Peshawar were concluded at Lala Ayub Stadium Peshawar. 110 players of age group of under 14, u-15 and u-16 appeared in the trials. Selection Committee of NWFP short listed 36 players. The trials were observed by Selection Committee of NWFP Naeem Akhtar (Chairman), Zia Banori, Rahim Khan and Musaddiq Khan along with coaches of PHF hockey academy Peshawar Mussadiq Hussain (PIA), Rahim Khan (PIA) and Zia Banori (Peshawar) observed the trials.Trials for Academy no.2 Karachi were also held at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium. 90 age group players appeared in the trials. Selection Committee of Sindh initially short list 16 players. The trials were observed by selection committee of Sindh Waseem Feroze (Chairman), Muhammad Khalid, Mumtaz Haider, Farooq Khan and Arif Bhopali along with coaches of academy no.2 Karachi Asif Ahmad (NBP), Safdar Abbas (Karachi) and M Anis (NBP).
