An official of Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) told TheNation on Monday that the PBCC head had called a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) to discuss the formulation plan. The meeting will be held at Directorate of Staff Development, Wahdat Road.
According to the sources, BISE Chairman Nasrullah Virk chaired a meeting of subject specialists and senior teachers a couple of days ago. The meeting was attended by more than 25 senior teachers and subject specialists.
During the meeting the penal, headed by BISE chairman, also interviewed the teachers and selected six among them to form a core group which will chalk out a plan to hold a series of training workshops.
The core group was also supposed to train the paper setters, head examiners and sub examiners for the upcoming matriculation and intermediate exams.
Nine more senior teachers were also selected in another session of interviews.
The sources further said the PBCC head who was also Lahore BISE Chairman Nasrullah Virk called a meeting of all selected core groups from all boards of the province. The meeting will discuss the suggestions to improve the scheme of assessment and to make the results error free.
It was all in the wake of last year errors in results of various examinations which resulted in protests of the students, the sources said, adding the meeting would formulate a plan of training workshops to be held in various cities of the province.
