Punjab govt to spend Rs195b on education

LAHORE – Punjab Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said on Thursday that the provincial government would spend Rs195 billion on the education sector during the next fiscal year.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of UK’s Lancaster University that included Vice Chancellor Prof Mark E Smith, Prof Robert Mckinaly and Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Steve Bradley.
The meeting was also attended by the pro vice chancellor and faculty members of Comsats Institute of Information and Technology, besides Higher Education Secretary Dr Ejaz Muneer and other high ranking officials.
