LAHORE - A Pediatrics Cardiac Surgery Department has been set up at the Sharif Medical City where Pediatrics Cardiac Surgeon Dr Abid Hussain conducted first successful operation of a seven years old girl, Sabeen Shahzadi, says a press release.
Sharif Medical City Chief Executive Officer Dr Adnan Khan said seven years old girl had a hole in her heart which had now been plugged through a successful operation. This operation was conducted free of cost.
After this addition, people would not have to go abroad for the treatment of their children. They would now be able to get quality and inexpensive treatment in the country. He informed that second operation of similar nature would also be conducted on Monday or Tuesday.
Sharif Trust Chairman Nawaz Sharif sent a bouquet to the patient girl and prayed for her early recovery.
