LCWU produces three PhDs in natural sciences


LAHORE – The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has produced three PhDs in the field of natural sciences. All three scholars completed their thesis under the supervision of Dr Ismat Naeem.
Zeb Saddiqe, Assistant Professor of LCWU was notified for PhD degree in Botany after successful defence of her thesis titled ‘Isolation and Characterization of Antibiotics Against MDR Bacteria from Hypericaceae’ in the specialized field of Medicinal Plants. ZebSaddiqe also produced 11 international publications during her research period.
Abida Taskeen was granted PhD degree in Chemistry. She did her PhD research on the titled ‘Quantitative & qualitative analysis of Bisphenol-A in Foods and Beverages stored in Plastic wraps and Containers in Pakistan’. Abida Taskeen has 31 publications to her credit
Alya Maimoona, a lecturer in Botany of LCWU was granted PhD in Botany after successful defence of her thesis titled: Isolation of antihypertensive compounds from bark and needles of Pinuswallichiana and Pinusroxburghii.
