LAHORE – Unidentified women took away a newborn boy from the nursery ward of the Lady Wellingdon Hospital, police said on Friday. Resident of Narang Mandi, Zahid Ahmed, told police that unidentified swindlers kidnapped his son from the hospital and escaped within no time. According to the police, the women took away the boy after administering some intoxication to the grandmother of the minor. The police have registered the case and are investigating.
POLICE FAILURE: Police failed to recover a motorcycle stolen from a house in the Ichhra police area several days ago. Fahad Saleem told the police that unidentified thieves broke into his residence at the Peer Ghazi Road and took away his motorcycle (LEK/4489). The Ichhra police have registered the case but failed to recover the bike. The complainant has appealed to the newly-appointed CCPO Amjad Javed Saleemi to order the concerned police for the early recover of his bike worth Rs70000.
