Rs 878m for free medicines in hospitals

LAHO RE - On the directions of the Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab government has released Rs877.7535m for the provision of 100 per cent free medicines in government hospitals in the province. In this connection, Punjab Health department has issued notification. According to the notification, Rs 76.775 million for Mayo Hospital, Rs15.1575 million for Children Hospital, Lahore, Rs5.500 million for Children Hospital Complex, Multan, Rs.15.00 million for Lady Willingdon Hospital, Lahore, Rs5.250 million for Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore,Rs2.500 million for Punjab dental Hospital, Lahore, Rs13.500 million for Punjab Institute of Mental Health, Lahore, Rs58.236 million for Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, Rs.96.200 million for Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, Rs75.0025 million for Services Hospital, Lahore, Rs.42.250 million for Lahore General Hospital, Rs.76.860 million for Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, Rs.90.000 million for Allied Hospital Faisalabad, Rs.103.0225 for Nishtar Hospital Multan, Rs.50.000 million for Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital, Rs.29.000 for Sheikh Zayed Hospital, R.Y. Khan, Rs.68.500 for Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore, Rs25.000 for Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology Faisalabad and Rs30.000 million have been released for Multan Institute of Cardiology Multan. The spokesman of the Health department has said the administration of all the hospitals has been directed to ensure the provision of 100 per cent free medicines to all the patients without any failure.
