LAHORE – The birth anniversary of great leader of Pakistan Movement, father of Urdu journalism Maulana Zafar Ali Khan is being celebrated under the aegis of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Trust on Thursday.

Different ceremonies will be held to pay homage to Maulana. Punjab University Institute of Communication Studies will organise the central programme at Hameed Nizami Conference Hall in this regard.
NPT Chairman Majid Nizami will be the chief guest while Vice Chancilor Dr Mujahid Kamran will preside over the sitting. The other speakers include Khalid Mehmood, Mujeebur Rehman Shami, Zia Shahid, Jamil Athar, Institute Director Dr Ahsan Akhtar, Turkish scholar Mesut Kacmaz and Raja Asad Ali Khan. Adeel Burki will recite Moulana’s Natia verses on the occasion.
