LAHORE - Cold wave is likely to revisit plains including the City in next couple of days as a rain giving system is affecting upper parts of the country.
A fresh western disturbance is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist for next two days. This system will give rains in parts of the country and snowfall over the hills. Considerable rains in the plains and snowfall over the hills will bring back bite in weather by decreasing the mercury level.
On Wednesday, Skardu remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 10 degree Celsius below the freezing point. Maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 19 C and 03 C respectively.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 38 per cent.
Local meteorological department has forecast widespread rain for Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal divisions and Kashmir during the next couple of days. Scattered rain with snowfall over the hills is likely over Khyber PK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Multan divisions.
