Parliamentary Secretary Health Dr Saeed Elahi has said defeating polio is necessary for establishing a healthy society and for development of the country. Launching the anti-polio campaign by administering vaccine at Children’s Hospital on Monday, he said curbing the menace was a national as well as an international obligation. WHO Representative Dr Debra Bettle, Rotary Club Governor Anthony Richard, Children’s Hospital Additional MS Dr Jawad and other officers were present on the occasion.
