LAHO RE (PR) Renowned poetess and journalist Arifa Subha Khan was awarded with a Gold Medal on her services for literature, journalism and women issues by Institute of Educational Promotion on the occasion of International Women Day at Alhamra here the other day. On the same day, she was also awarded by Women Development Punjab during a ceremony held at Government College for Women, Gulberg. Meanwhile Women Development Association and Bazm-e-Surkhail-e-Adab announced Best Women Award for Ms Subha on her two books regarding the women issues including 'Aks-e-Zan and 'Amma Hawa Se Amma Council Tak. Arifa has been working on women issues for 16 years. She is writer of 10 books.
