LAHORE – Five people including a 13-year-old boy died in separate areas of the Punjab capital on Sunday.
As per police reports, a minor boy, yet to be identified, drowned in BRB Canal near Khara Bridge. Rescue 1122 officials, however, reached the spot and tried their best to recover the body but to no avail.
A 28-year-old Muzamil of Javed Colony allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan because of family disputes on Sunday. Factory Area police said the deceased divorced his wife a month ago and was depressed, which resulted in his tragic death. Police found his body hanging to a ceiling fan and removed it to the City morgue for autopsy.
Similarly, Misri Shah Police recovered the body of a 30-year-old man Sikandar Hayat on Sunday. Police suspected that some unidentified persons had served some poisonous substance to the victim, which resulted in his instant death. The body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy.
Police recovered two persons dead from different parts of the City on Sunday. Naulakha Police recovered the body of a 32-year-old man near Railways Station. Police claimed that the man, yet to be identified, was an addict who died of natural causes. Similarly, Tibbi City Police found another body of a drug addict, who died because of excessive usage of drugs.
