LAHORE – Federal Minister for National Heritage and Integration Samina Khalid Ghurki on Sunday said that Pakistani people always participated in cultural activities with enthusiasm and this zeal showed the positive side of our society.
She was addressing the award distribution ceremony of Folk Festival at Jalo Park. The festival, which will conclude on Monday (today), is being held under the aegis of Lok Virsa, Islamabad.
The minister said that cultural activities were the best way to create harmony among people. She added that such folk festivals would be held in other cities to introduce youth to our cultural heritage.
The festival started on June 12 and more than 50 artists, belonging to different regions of the country, performed daily. The federal minister also visited various stalls.
