Teams formed to ensure continuous water supply

LAHORE – Lahore DCO Noorul Amin Mengal has constituted special monitoring teams for checking of generators installed at Wasa tube-wells in the City for ensuring continuous supply of water.
The DCO said that tube-wells should be run with generators during load-shedding hours and four petrol pumps had already been allocated for continuous supply of petrol and diesel. He said that monitoring teams would work under the supervision of DMO and these teams will check 110 generators installed and submit their daily report.
He said that they had to adopt emergency measures and any negligence would be strictly punished. He said that they had evolved a mechanism to check the misuse and theft of diesel and petrol from generators and any person involved in this malpractice would be treated accordingly.
He added that special teams would monitor staff performance and actions are being taken against absenteeism.
The DCO said that the CDGL was trying its best to ensure continuous water supply to citizens and they were utilizing all available resources in this regard. He said that water tankers would also be sent to those areas where they did not have generators or tube-wells. He said that complaints about shortage of water would be treated on urgent basis.
CIRCULAR ROAD CONSTRUCTION: Lahore DCO Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday visited Circular Road and inspected the construction work. The DCO expressed his satisfaction over the pace of construction and directed the concerned authorities to further accelerate the pace of work on Circular Road and to pay special attention on the quality of construction material. He also inspected the carpeting of road.
SUNDAY BAZAARS: District Coordination Officer Lahore Noorul Amin Mengal paid surprise visits of Tajpura, Begumkot and Shalimar Sunday bazaars, and directed the administration to further improve arrangements and provide maximum facilities to the customers. Later, the DCO checked the quality of fruits, vegetables and others food items in these bazaars.
