LAHO RE - Sardar Zafar Lund, vice president Peoples Lawyers Forum and former general secretary PPP DG Khan, has formally joined PML-Q along with a large number of lawyers and political workers. Zafar Loond made this announcement in a meeting with the senior leader of PML-Q Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at his residence on Saturday. He while giving reasons for quitting the PPP said he and his colleagues were motivated to join PML-Q after viewing the remarkable services of Chaudhry Pervaiz for the betterment of the people of Punjab during his government of 2002 to 2007. He expressed complete confidence in leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi andsaid he was heartbroken because of the poor performance and corrupt practices of the PPP's govt and therefore decided to part ways with the PPP. Chaudhry Pervaiz while welcoming PPP leader and his supporters in the PML-Q hoped that Zafar Loond's joining would further strengthen the party position in the South Punjab.
