LAHORE – PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday appointed eight vice presidents of Punjab.
They include Rana Farooq, Tariq Gujjar, Aslam Gill, Azizur Rahman Chann, Samsam Bokhari, Sardar Aslam Haider and Muhammad Hussain Dogar.
Party sources say Aslam Gill, Azizur Rehman Chann and Samsam Bokhari have been given the seniority as vice presidents while all of them will be allocated areas and election related duties to perform in different districts of Punjab.
They have also been assigned the task of judging the PPP candidates for the next elections and select the most suitable ones which will reach through the committee headed by President Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, to the upper level for further scrutiny and final selection. The VPs have also been asked to mobilise the party workers, they add.
