LAHORE – Hundreds of SNGPL’s on-contract meter-readers from far flung areas on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against the federal government and company’s management for not regularising them. They chanted slogans in favour of their demands and demanded for their employment in the SNGPL on permanent basis. They claimed that instead of regularising them, the company has been hiring new employees on political influence. They said that they would continue their protest until the acceptance of their demands.
