LAHORE -The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) on Thursday arrested five hardened criminals allegedly involved in dacoity-cum murder cases and killing Javed Aslam a close relative of Cricket Team Captain Muhammad Hafeez about two months ago, said spokesman.
He said after the CIA raiding team also recovered Rs 16 millions from their possession along with a motorcycle and a 30-bore pistol.
As per details on August 1 Javed Aslam deceased was on his way to home after selling his car in Mughalpora area and carrying Rs 3.5 lacs along with his employee. When he reached near Kachi Abadi four motorcyclists Shoiab alias Ragu, Rehman Ali, Waqaas and Sajjad alias Sajjad intercepted him and tried to snatch the said amount at gun point. On offering resistance, they opened fire on him killing him on the spot and fled from the scene.
DSP Athar said though Sajjad alias Shehzad was not accompanying accused during murder but he had informed to Shoaib by his cell phone no sooner deceased received payment of his car from Sajjad’s showroom and left for home.
