LAHORE – The City is likely to receive scattered rains during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, meaning some respite from the prevailing oppressive weather on the eve of annual religious festival. Experts have predicted mainly hot and humid weather for most parts of the country including the City during Eid holidays from Monday (today) to Wednesday. However, cloudiness, winds and occasional rains are likely to provide much-needed respite to Lahorites during these days.
According to the experts, the temperature on Monday (today) and Tuesday (tomorrow) is likely to range between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius; while on Wednesday, between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius. Before and after the rains, high humidity will make the weather oppressive and cause the Lahorites to sweat profusely.
Meanwhile, the City remained in the grip of sultry weather until Sunday noon, causing the Lahorites to sweat profusely. In the afternoon, cloudiness, continuously-blowing winds and scattered showers provided some relief to them from the prevailing harsh weather conditions.
The met office has forecast mainly hot and humid weather for most parts of the country. However, rains are expected in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions, and AJK.
