Committee approves 13 vehicles

LAHORE – The Punjab Austerity Committee on Saturday gave approval for 13 vehicles for the Governor House Secretariat, Punjab Protocol and Registrar, Treasurer and Controller Examination of Lahore College for Women University.
The approval was given at the 34th meeting of the Punjab Austerity Committee with senior adviser to Chief Minister Zulfiqar Khosa in the chair on Saturday.
The Punjab Agriculture Department made request for vehicles and other equipments including furniture and computers for the offices of newly established Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture upon which the senior advisor directed officers of the agriculture department to settle the matters with the Finance Department.
The meeting gave approval for two Corolla XLI and one Suzuki Cultus for Governor’s Secretariat, while five Corolla XLI and two Suzuki Cultus for Punjab Protocol.
The meeting also gave approval to the purchase of three vehicles for the Registrar, Treasurer and Controller Examination of Lahore College for Women University.
Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa on this occasion said that the secretaries and heads of other institutions sending cases to Austerity Committee should ensure their participation in the meetings.
Secretary Agriculture, Secretaries of Auqaf, Education, I&C, Planning& Developments, Principal Secretary to Governor, Additional Secretary Information and other officers attended the meeting.
Presiding over another meeting,  the senior adviser directed the officials of Food Department to keep a vigilant eye on the quota of wheat release to flour mills and prices in the market and ensure provision of flour to the people at prices fixed by the government.
