LAHORE – District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal stated that some new model bazaars were under process of construction whereas the model bazaar of Thokar Niaz Baig will be opened for general public by September 25.
He also said the remaining two model bazaars China Scheme and Raiwind would soon be constructed. He directed the official concerned to gear up the construction work.
The DCO said model bazaars of Township and Sabzazar were delivering well and had been attracting a good number of consumers for the purchase of essential items. He said that he had been paying visits to these model bazaars and taking action against irresponsible persons.
Meanwhile, the DCO appreciated the performance of fire fighters of civil defense, in extinguishing fire at Abdullah Plaza hall road Wednesday. He stated that the civil defense employees are our precious asset and they had saved and rescued people by putting their lives under threat.
He expressed these views while paying tribute to five fire fighters of civil defense here at town hall.
The DCO said that it is the responsibility of civil denfence to protect people and it had been doing it efficiently and actively. Moreover, he awarded thousand rupees to each rescue worker along with appreciation letter. Those who were awarded prizes are M. Waqas, Shoaib, AzfarAli, Muhammad Hussain and Haider Ali Shah.
