Girl donates pocket money to Turkish affectees

LAHORE – (PR) A ten years old Pakistani girl donated her pocket money to Turkish earth quake affectees.

Shanzah Shoaib, a student of class 4, also gave the money she got on Eid and her birthday. She presented Rs 9,000 to Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and Turkish Ambassador Babur Huzlan in Lahore.
“I watched on television that our friendly Islamic country Turkey was hit by a disastrous earth quake. I was very sad to see that many people lost their lives and a number of buildings were destroyed,” she added.
Shanzah further said I wanted to convey a message to my Turkish sister Marvi that the people of Turkey and Pakistan were like one nation. We shall be with each other at every time of trial. “Our love and friendship will increase in coming days. Live long Pak-Turk friendship,” she added.
