LAHORE - PIA’s first Haj flight PK-2401 from Lahore will take off at 7:10am today (Thursday) from Allama Iqbal International Airport, which carrying 503 intending pilgrims to Jeddah.
PIA’s second Pre Haj flight PK-2201 will also take off at 11:25am from Lahore to Jeddah.
During the Pre Haj Operation PIA will operate daily 8 to 10 flights carrying about 3,500 intending pilgrims to Jeddah from seven stations - Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad,Peshawar, Quetta, Sialkot and Multan till October 20.
The first Haj flight from Multan will depart on Sep 27 and from Sialkot on Oct 1. According to initial estimate the national flag carrier will be carrying 95,000 intending pilgrims to the Holy land through 204 Pre Haj flights to Jeddah and 4 flights to Madina.

Muhammad Ajmal S/o Ahmad Bukhsh also got the PhD degree in the subject of Urdu after approval of his thesis entitled “Urdu Nazm Mein Aurat Ka Tassavur”, Fayyaz Hussain S/o Riaz Hussain in the subject of Punjabi after approval of his thesis entitled “Muhammad Asif Khan’s Contribution to the 20th Century Punjabi Literature”, and Asia Iqbal D/o Muhammad Iqbal Javaid in the subject of Zoology after approval of her thesis entitled “Developmental Defects Induced by Losartan, ‘An Anti-Hypertensive Agent’ in Mice”.
